Philip Sparks
''I live and breath sewing"
Philip Sparks developed his interest in heritage tailoring during his time in the costume departments at the National Ballet of Canada, the Canadian Opera Company and the Stratford Festival. After almost a decade in design and production, including collaborations with Canada’s top retailers, Sparks continues to focus on the fine craftsmanship of custom tailored garments. Philip's work draws inspiration from historical texts, vintage photographs, textiles and found objects. All garments are proudly produced at the Philip Sparks Tailored Goods studio in Toronto's Junction neighbourhood. Philip also lectures regularly on design, pattern making and textiles.
