Janet Morton
"The idea of Mending"
Janet Morton is an award-winning visual artist who has exhibited her work across Canada and abroad including at The Textile Museum of Canada, The Power Plant and The National Gallery in Ottawa. Her knit and sewn works are often monumental in proportion, allowing stitching to grow beyond the small garments and accessories to which it is typically confined. She lives and works in Guelph, Ontario and is represented by Paul Petro Contemporary Art, Toronto. Morton’s work is included in the collections of the Cambridge Galleries, The Royal Bank of Canada, Museum London, and in numerous private collections in Canada, Switzerland, India, and the United States.
